BNI Knights

We are a group of Calgary business owners who meet weekly for dinner and networking. We are part of BNI Southern Alberta and are currently the Showcase chapter for the region. We have also won Chapter of the Year for 2017 and 2018. We passed millions in business since 2015. Our chapter is the first evening chapter in Southern Alberta, and we are proud to have a fun but hardworking culture. As of 2020, the chapter climbed to 42 members. BNI is a structured word-of-mouth networking organization which works by “relationship farming”. There is no pressure or hard sales techniques – we are simply business owners who look out for eachother. If you’re looking to grow your business, this is by far one of the best strategies available.

When & Where

The BNI Knights meet weekly on Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. We generally recommend showing up around 6:15pm so you can visit with the Knights and do some open networking before dinner begins. There is also open networking after the meeting. The dress code is business casual. The networking event takes place at the The Winston Golf Club (2502 6 St NE, Calgary, AB T2E 3Z3). The goal is to have a central location with easy access. There is free parking for this event all and we often head to a lounge for even more networking after the meeting.

(During COVID, there are no in-person meetings)

How to Register

Registration to visit the BNI Knights is super easy. Simply visit the EventBrite Registration Page and then select the date you’d like to visit from the available dates dropdown list. Once you’ve selected a date, simply hit Order Now and then fill out name, email, and you’ll be required to pay for your dinner ticket in advance. Let us know who invited you out and once you’ve completed the form, you’re good to go. You do not need to bring your Eventbrite ticket or print-out to the meeting. Simply show up on that date!

(This is currently disabled during COVID and we have temporarily moved to online meetings. Contact us to learn how you can attend on Zoom.)

Will I need to do anything?

Once you’re registered and shown up for the networking event, you’ve done the hard part! We encourage you to bring business cards, and to engage in open networking with the Knights and other visitors and guests in attendance before and after the dinner. You will be required to give a 30 second verbal blurb about who you are, what your business is, and what would be a great referral for you. 30 seconds goes fast, so we recommend you practice beforehand! Sit back, relax, and enjoy the magic of referrals and business being done right.
